Welcome to ZH~Zodiac. Home of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I hope you enjoy your visit. We are Steve and Maribeth Melnik of Otsego, Michigan. We have been breeding cavaliers since 2003 and have been associated with ZH ~ Zodiac since 2006. We have recently acquired the name and domain from our friends Denise and Randy McNeal.
ZH-Zodiac was established by Randy and Denise after they were introduced to the cavalier in 1990. Their dream of raising cavaliers all started with their beloved Zachary, who was the family's best friend and companion. He touched their hearts, and the passion began. In April 2017, Denise and Randy entered another challenge in life that unfortunately involved Denise's brave battle with cancer. Her energy and determination had kept her with us for over two years, however, it is with much sadness that Denise passed away in July 2019. She will be dearly missed. Steve and I are proud to continue their legacy and the name of ZH~Zodiac while still continuing their mission in producing cavaliers that meet their high standards.
Steve and I take pride in producing happy, healthy and well adjusted cavaliers, bred to the AKC breed standards. Our cavaliers are our pets first, raised in our home, with much attention being given to the best diet, health care, and cleanliness. Regular vet checkups, along with yearly heart and eye testing to insure that only the healthiest dogs are bred.
We provide all four colors. So please, take a tour through the site, meet our family of dogs and enjoy. If you have any questions, or would like to make an appointment to meet the dogs, feel free to contact us. We are always happy to talk dogs.
